Devin’s journey began with a personal challenge that many Jewish families recognize: balancing rigorous academic schedules with meaningful Jewish education. In 2011, inspired by his family’s struggle to integrate Hebrew school with their busy lives, Schain launched ShalomLearning as an online Jewish educational platform. What started as a solution for one family has grown into a global network, now serving over 200 synagogues and reaching more than 20,000 students across 11 countries.

ShalomLearning’s approach rests on three foundational pillars: a robust learning management system, exceptional educational content, and comprehensive teacher training. This holistic approach ensures that Jewish education is accessible, engaging, and adaptable to modern family life. The platform has proven valuable during times of crisis, providing continuity when traditional education models faced disruption.

Schain’s commitment extends beyond technology. His recent completion of the 2024 Marine Corps Marathon running with an Israeli soldier—dedicated to combating antisemitism, remembering October 7, 2023, and raising funds for ShalomLearning—reflects the personal dedication that drives this mission. As a University of Pennsylvania graduate, Sigma Alpha Mu member, Wexner Heritage Fellow, and active YPO member, Schain brings both entrepreneurial expertise and deep Jewish commitment to his work.
