ShalomLearning announces the appointment of Lillian Rountree as its new Executive Director. Lillian brings a dynamic blend of nonprofit leadership, strategic vision, and fundraising expertise to the organization, along with a deep commitment to education.
With nearly 20 years of experience strengthening nonprofits in the education and social services sectors, Lillian has led transformative growth at organizations such as Chances for Children, Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech, and Urban Pathways. Her track record includes securing multi-year institutional funding, launching high-impact development initiatives, building diverse and effective boards of directors, and leading strategic operations with clarity and empathy.
At ShalomLearning, Lillian will lead efforts to strengthen the organization’s infrastructure in preparation for significant growth and expansion. Her charge also includes cultivating new philanthropic partnerships with individuals and foundations who seek to empower the next generation through values-based Jewish education.

About Lillian Rountree: Lillian holds a master’s degree in adult learning and leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a bachelor’s in education and human development from George Washington University. Lillian served for nearly a decade on the board of directors of OPTION Schools, is an engaged member of CALO (Change Agent Leaders Organization), and is a long-time member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
